Finishing touches put on Pinkerton Place

DERRY — The final part of the Pinkerton Place retail/business complex is complete.

Jewett Construction Company workers put the finishing touches on the final multi-tenant portion of the plaza at 19 Manchester Road, behind the Woof Meow pet center.

Designed by Port One Architects, the project includes a cement board exterior and accent trims along with cultured stone veneer.

Pinkerton Place will house five tenants, including the local dentistry practice of Dr. Craig Rothenberg and Dr. Michael Moskowitz and a Go Wireless store.

This is the second project Jewett has done for Boomer Wolf LLC. The first was the completion of the nearby Panera Bread restaurant and bakery.

Having Pinkerton Place go online is a boost for Derry officials’ hopes for that area of town.

The town invested approximately $5 million into the Manchester Road expansion project to help boost economic development in that area of town.

A TIF, or tax-increment financing, district was put into place as part of the expansion. The town welcomed a new Wal-Mart superstore to that area, along with Woof Meow, Goodwill, Panera Bread and Ocean State Job Lot.

Derry planning director George Sioras is pleased with the progress.

“They’ve done an excellent job putting that all together,” he said.

Sioras said there is still vacant space in the plaza.

“We are pleased; it’s turned out very nice,” he said.
