Finders Keepers donates to advocacy center

DERRY — Finders Keepers delivered 100 new stuffed animals to Child Advocacy Center last week.

CAC has a mission is to provide a safe environment for the evaluation of alleged child abuse. Through the collaboration of public, private and community partners, they work to ensure the safety, health and well-being of abused children.

When Finders Keepers heard they were in need of stuffed animals, they reached out to their network and Facebook friends and within a week were able to fill the need.

This is not the first time Finders Keepers has stepped up. A couple years ago they did a “counter can” collection. The store collected money from its customers that was then matched by other local businesses.

The stores sell new and used items to help the charities they support. They also sponsor all shipping for the Buffman Project, a combat troop support nonprofit group started by an Exeter Marine and his unit.

The store has locations on Portsmouth Avenue in Exeter and Crystal Avenue in Derry. CAC has a location at the community campus in Portsmouth and also in Derry.

Contact information for Finders Keepers is FindersKeepersNH.com and 772-1733. CAC can be reached at cacnh.org and 422-8240.
