Rite Aid celebrates remodeled store

LONDONDERRY — Rite Aid Pharmacy on Nashua Road will hold a grand opening of its newly remodeled store.

The event will run from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 23.

The store will feature wellness ambassadors, who will help customers with their shopping and introduce whatever programs the store has to offer.

The grand opening event will feature free health screens, vaccinations (at a cost), food, fun and free raffles.

Local businesses and vendors will participate. There will be local entertainment, too.

The store is at 123 Nashua Road.

McCaul honored for most sales in May

LONDONDERRY -The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Londonderry announced that Chester resident Charlotte McCaul, a sales associate in the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Londonderry, has achieved the Sales Associate of the Month award.

McCaul received the honor for achieving the highest number of sales for the month of May.

Coldwell associate completes training

LONDONDERRY — Sandy Mannarini, a sales associate in the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Londonderry, has earned the Accredited Real Estate Professional designation by successfully completing the comprehensive SuccessBuilder training program, designed and conducted by the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Career and Educational Development department.

SuccessBuilder is a three-month intensive training program, which involves in-classroom skill development, online learning sessions, and industry specific field assignments. Designees must also meet specific production requirements, including the closing of three real estate transactions.

Mannarini learned how to best assist both buyer and seller clients in making sound business decisions, sharing industry best practices and current market trends, and the use of cutting edge tools to market homes.

She has also demonstrated expertise in the use of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's transaction management system, HomeBaseSM, which allows clients to virtually access critical tasks and documents associated with their real estate transaction.

Community House Calls receives BBB award

CHESTER — Healthy Homes Today - A Division of Community House Calls, was presented with the 2012 N.H. Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Market Place Ethics in the Small Business Category.

This award recognizes the ethical standards of behavior toward customers, employees, suppliers and communities in which they do business. Honesty in advertising and training programs promoting ethical work habits were also considered.

Community House Calls, which helps seniors and adults with disabilities maximize independence at home, has engaged in helping clients with hoarding issues since its inception in 2002.

CEO and president Ray Mailloux created Healthy Homes Today nearly three years ago and appointed Cynthia McGahan as program director.

Pinkerton graduate signs on with Conservation Corps

The Maine Conservation Corps recently welcomed Jackie Stratton of Derry to serve as an environmental educator and AmeriCorps volunteer at the Medomak Valley Land Trust and Georges River Land Trust.

The MCC places AmeriCorps volunteers throughout Maine to complete conservation and environmental education projects.

Stratton is the daughter of David and Sandra Stratton of Derry. She is a 2007 graduate of Pinkerton Academy and a 2011 graduate of Colorado State University, where she studied natural resource management and watershed science.

Caregivers names two new board members

DERRY — Community Caregivers of Greater Derry welcomes two new members to its board of directors.

Caregivers assists the elderly and disabled with services such as visiting, grocery shopping, light chores, home repair and medical transportation.

Rosemarie Palis of Derry and Mark Wheeler of Bedford are joining the board.

Palis is an office coordinator at Southern NH University.

Wheeler owns a printing company in Manchester.

Hampshire First Bank is now NBT Bank

MANCHESTER — NBT Bank and Hampshire First Bank have merged.

Hampshire First Bank is now a division of NBT Bank, an independent community bank based in upstate New York. The five banking centers operated by Hampshire First Bank in Manchester, Londonderry, Nashua, Keene and Portsmouth will continue to do business under the Hampshire First name.

Local musician named top educator

Rose Lemay of Let's Play Music was awarded Kindermusik International's "Inspirational Educator of the Year."

Lemay, known as "Miss Rose" to hundreds of Greater Derry families, was named Kindermusik International's "Inspirational Educator of the Year" on June 4.

Lemay has been offering Kindermusik programming in the area for 15 years and joined the Let's Play Music staff last June.

Kindermusik International awards educators annually who stand out among their peers.
