Panera continues community support

DERRY — Panera Bread franchise PR Restaurants LLC continues its mission to serve as a central community member in New Hampshire.

Just this past year, PR Restaurants shared the warmth of their bread to a remarkable number of New Hampshire charities and organizations. PR Restaurants donated all unsold bread and baked goods to local hunger relief organizations through Panera’s Day-End Dough-Nation program.

It also presented more than $41,000 in checks through in-store Operation Dough Nation canisters for CASA of New Hampshire, American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Greater Salem, Salvation Army of Portsmouth and others.

PR Restaurants sponsored a number of community events and raised $10,000 for Nashua’s Seventh Annual Day for Kids. The company was the recipient of 2012 Restaurant Neighbor Award, an annual award given to restaurants that exemplify the industry’s community support and philanthropic spirit by the National Restaurant Association.

PR Restaurants wants the communities it serves, including Derry, to know that it is actively looking for more charitable partnerships, in-store fundraisers and other ways to help.
