Derry Sal’s Pizza celebrates community
DERRY — On Saturday, Sept. 21, Sal’s Pizza in Derry was part of the community it serves and attend DerryFest.
They donated the proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club to contribute to the children in their community. Sal’s Pizza has been family owned and operated since 1990.
Sal’s Pizza in Derry celebrates October as national Pizza Month with special savings and customer incentives on Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Area firefighters train in Maryland
Firefighters from a number of Southern New Hampshire fire departments, including one from Derry, traveled to Maryland Sept. 20-22 to attend the National Fire Academy to receive special training.
Their “multi-state training weekend” was held with groups that came from New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Alabama and Florida.
Firefighters attending included Dennis Livoli from the Derry Fire Department, Eric Hildebrandt and Gary Kurgan from the Windham Fire Department, and Edward Glancy and James Rea Jr. from the Litchfield Fire Department.
State fire training agencies sponsor the training program in cooperation with the National Fire Academy. The state agency selects the courses and recruits and enrolls the students according to established student selection criteria. The NFA hosts the program and provides the instruction and course materials.
Landmark Crossing has new tenants
LONDONDERRY — The Valentine Group announces the lease up of two office suites at Landmark Crossing.
Victoria Gorveatt has opened the first location for Neuropathy Comfort Center of New England in 1,525 square feet. She specializes in the treatment of hand and foot pain. Neuropathy Comfort Center will utilize cutting-edge treatments to alleviate neuropathic pain in the extremities.
Neuropathy Comfort Center is unique in that it does not utilize pharmacological treatment as the primary course of action. Gorveatt has many years of experience in this field and looks forward to meeting new patients.
