Over the course of the fundraiser, the participating Cumberland Farms stores will announce the total amount of money raised on a weekly basis so customers and CHaD can track the fundraising progress. Chester firefighter completes training

More than 20 firefighters from 11 municipalities graduated on March 15 after completing their Firefighter 1 course through the the New Hampshire Fire Academy. The 216-hour program was completed by training at the Warner Fire Department for nearly four months. The chief instructor for the program was Goffstown Lt. Mark Lemay.

Chester firefighter Justin Lemay completed and graduated from the program.

The Firefighter 1 training program taught the new firefighters about the history of firefighting, the use of personal protective gear, operation of self contained breathing apparatus, use of ladders, different nozzles and sizes of hose.

The mission of the New Hampshire Fire Academy is to increase the capability of New Hampshire’s fire and emergency services.
