LONDONDERRY — Old Home Day organizers announced this morning that due to scheduling conflicts, the Police Department vs. Fire Department softball game, orginally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16 has been switched to tonight, Friday, Aug. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Matthew Thornton Field.
The challenge game between public safety departments is one of the highlights of Old Home Day.
Old Home Day Committee member Kathy Wagner said that tonight's fireworks display will go off as scheduled.
The Londonderry School Board last night named Sharon Putney as the new principal of Matthew Thornton Elementary School. She will take over July 1 and replaces retiring Matthew Thornton principal Carol Mack.
