chester briefs Gary Aramini welcomed home
Former Chester resident Gary Aramini paid a visit to the area last week and also participated in the annual Greater Derry/Londonderry Relay for Life at the Pinkerton track. Aramini, now living in the Carolinas, was famous in these parts back in 1984 when, as a 20-year-old, he ran across the nation and raised approximately $500,000 for Dana-Farber cancer research in memory of his friend, Billy Clay, who died of the disease. ...continued

Public Safety Briefs Sex offender caught after break-in
WINDHAM — A registered sex offender from Londonderry was caught breaking into a house and tried to hide from police after he was spotted, police said.
Steven Bonacorsi, 40, of 47 Season Lane, was arrested at 6 Londonderry Road after a neighbor noticed him in the house around 9:35 p.m. Saturday....continued
